Privacy & Terms
What this site collects, and the deal for using it.
Short version: I collect your email only when you give it to me, I don't sell it, and one page runs an ad pixel. The details are below, in plain English.

Who runs this site
the4hoursidehustle.com is run by Jeff Sheikowitz, author of The 4-Hour Side Hustle. When this page says "I" or "me," that's who it means. For any privacy question or request, use the contact form.
What I collect
- What you type into a form. The contact form asks for your name, email, a topic, and your message. Email signup forms ask for your email address (sometimes your first name). Nothing is collected from a form until you press submit.
- Your answers to the free tools. Tools like the scorecard and the ledger run in your browser. Your answers stay on your device unless you choose to submit your email to get results or follow-ups.
- Basic technical data. Like almost every website, the server logs things such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. The contact form also uses your IP address briefly to block spam (one message per 30 seconds).
I don't collect payment information. Book purchases happen on Amazon and are covered by Amazon's own privacy policy.
Services that handle it
These companies process data on my behalf or when you use features built on them:
- Hostinger hosts the site and its server logs, and delivers contact-form messages by email.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) stores email subscribers and sends the emails you signed up for.
- Tally hosts some of my forms. If you fill one in, Tally stores your answers.
- Google Fonts serves the fonts on these pages, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when the page loads.
- Reddit receives data from the ad pixel described below.
I don't sell your personal information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Pixels and cookies
The scorecard page runs the Reddit Pixel, a small script that tells Reddit when someone who saw one of my Reddit ads visits the page. That lets me see whether the ads work. Reddit may set cookies to do this, under Reddit's privacy policy.
To limit it, you can turn off ad personalization in your Reddit account settings, block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker. The scorecard works the same either way.
No other page on this site runs advertising or analytics trackers.
How it's used
- To reply to messages you send me. Contact-form emails are not added to any mailing list.
- To send the emails you signed up for, such as tool results, the welcome sequence, and book news. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site running, secure, and free of spam.
- To measure whether my ads lead people to the scorecard.
How long it's kept
Subscriber data stays in Kit until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Contact-form messages stay in my inbox for as long as the conversation is useful, and I'll delete them on request. Server logs are kept by Hostinger for a limited period as part of normal hosting.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask what I have, or ask me to correct or delete it. Send the request through the contact form and I'll respond within 30 days. This applies wherever you live; depending on your location (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may also have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Children
This site is written for working adults and isn't directed to children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent me personal data, tell me and I'll delete it.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, for example a new tool or tracker, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
